Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Mann Ki Baat on October 20, 2016 took note of Haryana’s progress towards making the State Open Defecation Free. Seven districts of the state have already been declared ODF. He also complemented Haryana for aiming to make the State kerosene free. As of now, eight districts have been declared kerosene free in Haryana. The Haryana Government linked Aadhar with gas connections and ensured that households having gas connections would not be provided kerosene.
