The Supreme Head of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today.
He was accompanied by a nine member delegation, comprising senior members of the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam invoking blessings for growth, prosperity, and the collective well-being of all.
The Prime Minister posted on X:
"वनस्पते शतवल्शो वि रोह सहस्रवल्शा वि वयं रुहेम।
यं त्वामयं स्वधितिस्तेजमानः प्रणिनाय महते सौभगाय॥"
O plant life! May you grow and flourish with hundreds and thousands of branches, and may we also prosper along with you. May the radiant force that has nurtured you for great prosperity and well-being bring welfare to us all as well.
