Shri Modi decimates Congress myths and shows how Centre is doing great injustice to Gujarat and its people.
Gujarat gives Rs. 50,000 crore every year to Delhi but we get Rs. 6,000 crore only in return! If someone takes Rs. 100 from you but gives you back only Rs. 10, do we say we were given Rs. 10 or Rs. 90 was taken : Shri Modi
People of Gujarat are not beggars standing with extended hands while an Empress hands out crumbs. Congress attitude hurting self-respect of people of Gujarat: Shri Modi
We awakened the people with ads showing how Gujarat is slapped every day by the Centre but it this truth has hurt the Congress so much they have gone to Court seeking its removal: Shri Modi
Money in Gandhinagar’s treasury does not belong to me or any party but is the hard work and sweat of 6 crore Gujaratis: Shri Modi
In his wonderful style, Shri Narendra Modi systemically decimated the lies spread by the Congress and spoke about how the Centre was doing a great injustice to the people of Gujarat. The Chief Minister was addressing the ‘One Booth, Ten Youth’ Convention of the Yuva Morcha on Saturday 8th September 2012 in Maninagar, Ahmedabad.
Shri Modi remarked that these days there is a new trend coming up that says that the money for Gujarat’s development is actually coming from the Centre. But, he affirmed that the fact is - money is going to the Centre from Gandhinagar!
He shared that while Gujarat gives Rs. 50,000 crore to the treasury in Delhi every year, all that Gujarat gets is Rs. 6,000 crore. Giving a small example, Shri Modi asked that if one takes Rs. 100 from you and gives back only Rs. 10, do we say we were given Rs. 10 or Rs. 90 was taken?
The Chief Minister stated that the people of Gujarat are not beggars standing with extended hands while an Empress hands out crumbs. He added that this attitude of Congress Party hurts the self-respect of Gujarat and the people will never accept this injustice.Shri Modi said that in order to further awaken the people about the injustice being done to Gujarat, advertisements about how Delhi is slapping Gujarat every single day were released but, it was the Congress who felt the pain and they went to court asking for a withdrawal of these advertisements. The Chief Minister wondered why cant the Congress accept even this much of the bitter truth and added that now, every one remembers the adds and accepts the injustice being done to Gujarat.
In a pleasant change from the condescending attitude of New Delhi, Shri Modi minced no words in stating that the money in the treasury in Gandhinagar is not his personal wealth neither does it belong to any political party but is the hard work and sweat of 6 crore Gujaratis.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today has approved the Revised Total Capital Cost of Rs.3630.77 crore for the Construction of Greenfield Connectivity to Jewar International Airport from Delhi-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-Sohna Spur of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on Hybrid Annuity Mode in the States of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
This 31.42 km long project corridor will provide direct and high-speed connectivity from South Delhi, Faridabad and Gurugram to Jewar International Airport, thereby promoting economic growth and logistics efficiency across National Capital Region (NCR).
The corridor intersects Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, and Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), enabling multimodal transport convergence. The elevated corridor is not merely a structural enhancement but a strategic enabler for urban transformation, regional connectivity, and national logistics efficiency. Its construction is imperative to unlock the full potential of the Jewar Airport–Delhi–Mumbai Expressway corridor and to ensure sustainable urban development in Faridabad.
About 11 km length of this project is to be developed as elevated highway which forms a critical segment of the Greenfield connectivity between DND-Ballabhgarh Bypass and Jewar International Airport, linking it to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. This corridor traverses the area earmarked for high-density urban development and future infrastructure expansion under the Faridabad Master Plan, 2031. The additional cost of the proposed elevated corridor is Rs.689.24 crore and the Government of Haryana has agreed to bear Rs.450 crore for elevated corridor.
