2019 elections is going to be ‘Janta’ vs ‘Mahagathbandhan’: PM Modi

PM Modi in an interview said that only the people of India would decide the course of upcoming elections. “Who is for the aspirations of the people, who are against the aspirations of the people? This is going to the yardstick for the elections”, he said.

Shri Modi said that the people were well aware of the fact that earlier it was decentralised corruption, those who sat in the states, looted the states, those who were in the centre, looted at the centre. He added, “The people will decide whether or not they should ally with these forces of corruption that are coming together. Therefore, it is going to be Janta (public) versus Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance).”

Further speaking on Chandrababu Naidu’s claims that the BJP was supporting KCR, the PM said. “I am not aware about any alliance being made by KCR. In five years, is there something concrete Mahagathbandhan has said in one voice? They still speak in different voices. To save themselves, they are looking for support and hence hold each other's hand.”
