At the invitation of Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed Ali, PM Modi visited Ethiopia on 16-17 December 2025. During the PM's visit, India and Ethiopia have elevated their bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership. PM Modi was conferred with ‘Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia’, the country’s highest honour.
