1357 dedicated Karyakartas have ventured across the length and breadth of Gujarat, meeting people

Phenomenal response received. Karyakartas welcomed warmly wherever they go!

The advent of November is marked by a slight nip in the air as people bid goodbye to summers. This year, the festive season extends fully into November- the 9-day Navratri festivities recently concluded and everyone is eagerly awaiting Diwali.

But, experiencing a totally different kind of joy are 1357 energetic Karyakartas of the Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) who have ventured into the villages of Gujarat to interact with the people of the state. These Karyakartas are traversing the length and breadth of Gujarat as a part of the Vidhan Sabha Vijay Prayan Abhiyan. Under this Abhiyan, these Karyakartas will meet people and cover 30,000 booths. The Abhiyan will end on Sunday 4th November 2012 with Youth Conventions in 900 district Panchayats.

So far the Karyakartas have received a phenomenal response from all parts of Gujarat. Wherever they go, they are welcomed with open arms. People are eager to interact with them and they too are giving their ears to the people they meet, sharing their joys and sorrows.

When this Abhiyan was launched on 31st October in Gandhinagar, Shri Modi delivered one of his most inspiring speeches in which he motivated the young Karyakartas and shared his own anecdotes when he was devoted to strengthening the organisation. Those present on the occasion were moved by Shri Modi’s encouraging words.

At the core of Shri Modi’s speech was the fact that the BJP not only respects but also celebrates its Karyakarta. The Karyakarta is the heart of the party. He said that BJP's strengths are Karyakartas & love of people, unlike Congress that relies on allegations, lies & money to win polls.

Shri Modi also told them that they would in the villages people would ask them why are they venturing out in this festive season but assured them that there will be another Diwali, which will be extremely grand that will be celebrated on 20th December!

Here we bring to you an assortment on our young Karyakartas who are doing us all proud by their dedication and commitment….

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid rich tribute to Pandit Jasraj on the occasion of the Jayanti of the doyen of Indian Classical Music. The Prime Minister talked of the personification of immortal energy of music by Pandit Jasraj and lauded Durga Jasraj and Pandit Shaarang Dev for keeping alive the glorious legacy of the maestro. The Prime Minister was speaking at the launch of the Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation via video conferencing.

The Prime Minister touched upon the vast knowledge imparted by the sages of Indian music tradition. Shri Modi said that the strength to feel the cosmic energy and ability to see music in the flow of universe is what makes Indian Classical music tradition so exceptional. “Music is a medium that makes us aware of our worldly duties and it also helps us transcend worldly attachments” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister praised Pandit Jasraj Cultural Foundation for their goal of preserving India’s rich heritage of art and culture. He asked the Foundation to focus on two key aspects of this age of technology. Firstly, he said that Indian Music should create its identity in this age of globalisation. He said that the experience of Yoga Day has indicated that the world has benefited from Indian heritage and Indian music also has the capacity to stir the depth of the human mind. “Every person in the world is entitled to know about, learn and get benefits of Indian music. It is our responsibility to take care of that”, he said.

He also dwelled on recent efforts to regenerate the centres of culture and art like Kashi. The Prime Minister said that India has shown the way to a secured future to the world through its faith in environment preservation and love for nature. “In this Indian journey of development along with heritage, ‘Sabka Prayas’ should be included”, he concluded.
