Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today expressed deep sadness over the passing of Shri Gaurang Vyas, a renowned music composer in the Gujarati music world.
The Prime Minister noted that carrying forward the rich musical legacy of his father, Avinash Vyas, Shri Gaurang Vyas carved a unique niche for himself in the realm of Gujarati music. He added that his passing leaves Gujarat feeling the loss of a talented creator, and his invaluable contribution to Gujarati music will always be remembered.
The Prime Minister prayed for the peace of the departed soul and extended his condolences to the bereaved family and their vast legion of admirers.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister shared:
"ગુજરાતી સંગીતજગતના જાણીતા સંગીતકાર શ્રી ગૌરાંગ વ્યાસના અવસાનથી અત્યંત દુઃખ થયું.
પિતા અવિનાશ વ્યાસની સમૃદ્ધ સંગીત પરંપરાને આગળ ધપાવી તેમણે ગુજરાતી સંગીતના ક્ષેત્રમાં પોતાનું આગવું સ્થાન બનાવ્યું હતું. તેમના અવસાનથી ગુજરાતે એક પ્રતિભાશાળી સર્જકને ગુમાવ્યાની લાગણી થાય છે. ગુજરાતી સંગીતક્ષેત્રે તેમનું અમૂલ્ય યોગદાન હંમેશાં યાદ રહેશે.
સદ્ગતના આત્માની શાંતિ માટે પ્રાર્થના તથા શોકગ્રસ્ત પરિવારજનો અને તેમના વિશાળ ચાહકવર્ગને સાંત્વના…
