PM Modi interacts with millions of BJP booth karyakartas across the country

Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with millions of booth level workers and volunteers across the country through video conferencing today. The interaction called the ‘Mahasamvad’ was held at 15,000 locations across the country as a part of the BJP’s public outreach campaign ‘Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot.’

Responding to questions by workers on their electoral strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi urged the karyakartas to reach out to all the sections of society and create awareness about the major initiatives and achievements of the BJP government. He further added, “One of the ways to do this is through the ‘Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat’ initiative of the BJP through which every Indian can give his suggestions for the BJP in 2019 elections and those suggestions will reach the top levels of the party including me. In a way, we have democratized our public outreach so that our ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the 2019 elections includes the voices and issues across the country.”

Describing the vision of the BJP for the future, PM Modi said that while the period from 2014 until now has been about ensuring the list mile delivery of basic necessities and services to everyone and bringing about social justice in society, the period starting 2019 will be about fulfilling the aspirations and ambitions of a growing country. In this context, he said, “The period from 2014-2019 was about bringing India out of the ‘Fragile Five’ economies to the fastest growing major economy of the world while the period from 2019 will be about striving to become one of the top five economies of the world.”

When asked about the difference in the political cultures of the BJP and Congress and the significance it holds for Indian democracy during the upcoming general elections, Prime Minister Modi said, “The 2019 Lok Sabha elections are not about BJP or Congress, they are about the different political cultures of both the parties. On one hand is the BJP which has democratic-ness at the heart of its political culture and on the other side are several Opposition parties including the Congress in which everything happens keeping the dynastic interests of the leaders in their minds. Our party derives its strength from its cadres and hardworking workers unlike parties like the Congress who derive their strengths from a certain person/family. This fundamental difference will be a decisive factor in ensuring that our cadre-driven party emerges victorious in the 2019 elections.”

Prime Minister Modi highlighted his views and provided valuable suggestions to the party karyakartas on a wide range of crucial issues such as the significance of social media for the electoral campaign as well as the party’s prospects in South India while continuously urging his karyakartas, supporters and volunteers to reach out to as many people as possible and aware them about the government’s transformative initiatives and schemes to ensure that the message of the party reaches to every Indian.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will undertake a visit to Assam on 20-21 December. On 20th December, at around 3 PM, Prime Minister will reach Guwahati, where he will undertake a walkthrough and inaugurate the New Terminal Building of Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

On 21st December, at around 9:45 AM, Prime Minister will pay tribute to martyrs at Swahid Smarak Kshetra in Boragaon, Guwahati. After that, he will travel to Namrup in Dibrugarh, Assam, where he will perform Bhoomi Pujan for the Ammonia-Urea Project of Assam Valley Fertilizer and Chemical Company Ltd. He will also address the gathering on the occasion.

Prime Minister will inaugurate the new terminal building of Lokapriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport in Guwahati, marking a transformative milestone in Assam’s connectivity, economic expansion and global engagement.

The newly completed Integrated New Terminal Building, spread over nearly 1.4 lakh square metres, is designed to handle up to 1.3 crore passengers annually, supported by major upgrades to the runway, airfield systems, aprons and taxiways.

India’s first nature-themed airport terminal, the airport’s design draws inspiration from Assam’s biodiversity and cultural heritage under the theme “Bamboo Orchids”. The terminal makes pioneering use of about 140 metric tonnes of locally sourced Northeast bamboo, complemented by Kaziranga-inspired green landscapes, japi motifs, the iconic rhino symbol and 57 orchid-inspired columns reflecting the Kopou flower. A unique “Sky Forest”, featuring nearly one lakh plants of indigenous species, offers arriving passengers an immersive, forest-like experience.

The terminal sets new benchmarks in passenger convenience and digital innovation. Features such as full-body scanners for fast, non-intrusive security screening, DigiYatra-enabled contactless travel, automated baggage handling, fast-track immigration and AI-driven airport operations ensure seamless, secure and efficient journeys.

Prime Minister will visit the Swahid Smarak Kshetra to pay homage to the martyrs of the historic Assam Movement, a six-year-long people’s movement that embodied the collective resolve for a foreigner-free Assam and the protection of the State’s identity.

Later in the day, Prime Minister will perform Bhoomipujan of the new brownfield Ammonia-Urea Fertilizer Project at Namrup, in Dibrugarh, Assam, within the existing premises of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL).

Furthering Prime Minister’s vision of Farmers’ Welfare, the project, with an estimated investment of over Rs. 10,600 crore, will meet fertilizer requirements of Assam and neighbouring states, reduce import dependence, generate substantial employment and catalyse regional economic development. It stands as a cornerstone of industrial revival and farmer welfare.
