Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met President of Republic of Korea, Park Geun-hye on the sidelines of the ASEAN summit in Lao PDR. Both the leaders discussed several avenues to further strengthen India-South Korea ties.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasising that knowledge can be gained only through devoted service to the Guru.
The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-
"यथा खात्वा खनित्रेण भूतले वारि विन्दति।
तथा गुरुगतां विद्यां शुश्रूषुरधिगच्छति॥"
The Subhashitam conveys, that just as one must dig deep into the earth with hard work and patience to obtain water, in the same way, knowledge can be gained only through devoted service to the Guru, with faith, dedication, discipline, and sincerity.
