Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi arrived in Herat, Afghanistan on the first leg of his 5 nation tour. PM will jointly inaugurate the Afghanistan-India Friendship Dam with President Ashraf Ghani at Herat.

Upon arrival, the PM tweeted, “Reached Herat in Afghanistan. Will attend the programme for inauguration of Salma Dam and meet President Ashraf Ghani.

Prime Minister speaks with Crown Prince and PM of Saudi Arabia, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today spoke with Crown Prince and PM of Saudi Arabia, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman and discussed the ongoing conflict in West Asia. Shri Modi reiterated India’s condemnation of attacks on regional energy infrastructure, and the need to ensure freedom of navigation and keeping shipping lines open and secure. “Thanked him for his continued support for the welfare of the Indian community in Saudi Arabia”, Shri Modi stated.

Shri Modi posted on X:

“Spoke with Crown Prince and PM of Saudi Arabia, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman and discussed the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

I reiterated India’s condemnation of attacks on regional energy infrastructure.

We agreed on the need to ensure freedom of navigation and keeping shipping lines open and secure.

Thanked him for his continued support for the welfare of the Indian community in Saudi Arabia”
