Hon'ble CM appeals youth to build an impressive image of the State

Chief Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has called upon talented youths in petroleum sector going abroad for higher studies and advance research development, to build an impressive image of the State and Nation in foreign countries.

Chief Minister today greeted and talked with about 100 students of internationally acclaimed Pandit Dindayal University of Gujarat, going to participate in a three week International Exposure Programme-2010 to be held at Hustan, Oklahama and Tusla University aiming to enhance higher knowledge and skills.

Energy and Petroleum Minister of State Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, Chief Secretary Shri A.K.Joti, Principal Secretary to Energy Department Shri D.J.Pandiyan and experts of PDP University were present on the occasion.

Talking with the zealous youth Chief Minister said that as the coming time is of the sectors like petroleum and energy, it is the opportunity for the students to take higher studies in such fields and to serve the State and Country by building a bright career in these fields.

Shri Modi encouraged students to work as a catalytic agent to fetch foreign universities to PDP University which is a world class university, for research and studies. He appealed the students to seize opportunities like this that acts as a sparking point during the time of their studies, so that their knowledge does not remain limited.

Students positively responded to the Chief Minister's appeal of building an impressive image of the State by representing Gujarat's development in petroleum sector.

PM to inaugurate 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth on 15th January

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 28th Conference of Speakers and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) on 15th January 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan, Parliament House Complex, New Delhi. Prime Minister will also address the gathering on the occasion.

The Conference will be chaired by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla and will be attended by 61 Speakers and Presiding Officers of 42 Commonwealth countries and 4 semi-autonomous parliaments from different parts of the world.

The Conference will deliberate on a wide range of contemporary parliamentary issues, including the role of Speakers and Presiding Officers in maintaining strong democratic institutions, the use of artificial intelligence in parliamentary functioning, the impact of social media on Members of Parliament, innovative strategies to enhance public understanding of Parliament and citizen participation beyond voting, among others.
