Addressing a massive gathering at Limbdi in Surendranagar district on Sunday 23rd September 2012 Shri Narendra Modi came down heavily on the divide and rule policy of the Congress Party.

The Chief Minister affirmed that the Congress Party has misused the riches of the nation and it was because the people of Gujarat have kept the Congress away from power that they have been saved.

On the cotton export ban too Shri Modi attacked the UPA and said that it was causing great loss to the farmers.

In his speech Shri Modi announced development works for Surendranagar district. He announced the setting up of a textile park in Surendranagar district and expressed hope that this will create many jobs for the youth. In addition, he announced Rs. 256 crore for irrigation projects in the state.

Shri Modi expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would emerge victorious in the upcoming assembly polls and further declared that the real development would begin after the elections as till now the Government has filled the loopholes of the preceding 40 years.

The Yatra received tremendous support in Surendranagar district as people cutting across community lines extended their support to the Yatra and Shri Modi.

Prime Minister hails India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement as a historic milestone for bilateral relations

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has expressed delight that the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement will enter into force on 15 July 2026.

The Prime Minister said that the agreement will significantly boost bilateral trade and investment.

Shri Modi stated that the agreement will unlock numerous opportunities for Indian farmers, workers, MSMEs, startups and innovators and contribute meaningfully to the realisation of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The Prime Minister noted that both he and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who are in Evian for the G7 Summit, are very happy with the significant momentum being added to India-UK economic ties.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;
