State control room has alerted authorities of five districts namely Ahmedabad, Mahesana, Kheda, Patan and Vadodara. A moment not to be missed, Hon'ble CM were glad and tweeted the same day: “A moment to rejoice! Sardar Sarovar Dam has started overflowing again...this scene is always spectacular!”

“Sardar Sarovar Project of Gujarat has been one of the most talked about large dam projects in the world in recent decades. Mired in controversies, political mismanagement and financial troubles, I inherited the project in an atmosphere of despair and hopelessness. Managing the rehabilitation in coordination with other neighboring State Governments, satisfying the administrative and quasi-judicial mechanisms established by various judicial pronouncements and arranging for a high dose of finance on a continuous basis, was a task which consumed much of my attention during initial years”.

PM shares a Subhashitam emphasising how true strength lies in collective solidarity
January 05, 2026

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today paid tribute to India’s timeless culture and spiritual heritage, emphasizing its resilience in the face of countless attacks over centuries.

The Prime Minister noted that India’s civilisational journey has endured because of the collective strength of its people, who have safeguarded the nation’s cultural legacy with unwavering commitment.

Quoting a Sanskrit verse on X, he reflected on the deeper meaning of resilience:

“हमारी महान संस्कृति और आध्यात्मिक विरासत अनगिनत हमलों की भी साक्षी रही है। यह देशवासियों की सामूहिक शक्ति ही है, जिसने हमारी सांस्कृतिक धरोहर को हमेशा अक्षुण्ण रखा है।

वनानि दहतो वह्नेः सखा भवति मारुतः।

स एव दीपनाशाय कृशे कस्यास्ति सौहृदम् ।।”
