Integrating agriculture with technology The CyberMedia ICT Business Awards 2013 in Delhi provided Mr. Modi with the right stage to talk about the ICT and hardware sectors as the most neglected one by the UPA government. Mr. Modi told the audience that IT can be used to educate men and women who are past the traditional age of learning or to educate farmers ensured that his audience knew the difference between a dreamer and a visionary.
Innovation in the Healthcare Sector At the BJP National Council Meeting Narendra Modi stressed on the importance of improving the healthcare sector and the need to provide an AIIMS in every state of the country, a point which he made even in his speech in Deoria. He was of the opinion that instead of addressing sickness we should turn our focus on wellness.
Ensuring all young girls are enrolled in schools Narendra Modi’s Vision for educating the Girl Child has been constant theme in his speeches. Having ensured that there is 100 per cent enrollment in Gujarat he is now keen to make sure that the same happens all across India. He has expressed his views on the same during the speech at the BJP National Council Meet and through several interviews.
Skill Development to be given Priority for Improving Employment rates Narendra Modi has always spoken on the need for skill development considering it the most important step in ensuring that the youth of the country find employment. “Our demographic dividend is our strength. The youth have what it takes to engage with the latest technology....Our youth are skilled, and full of creativity and innovation. When we give our youth the opportunity we too can give a lot to the world." he said when addressing the addressing the 8th edition of the India Digital Summit via video conferencing. He took up the issue on his visit to Erode as well where he said the focus of his Government would be on creating employment.
Improving Governance through Technology, Creating Smart Cities and an information Highway Speaking to the India Leadership Forum of NASSCOM on the 14th of February Narendra Modi noted the advances, usage and need for technology. At the CyberMedia ICT Business Awards 2013 in Delhi provided Mr. Modi talked of Information Highway, communication technology, settlements around Optical Fiber Networks, integrating content in different languages with technology, focus on innovation with the mantra of ‘One Nation, One Vision, One Mission’. He has also in his interviews spoken of the benefits of e-governance and the need to move to mobile governance in the coming future.
Infrastructure Development Narendra Modi’s Vision for Next Generation Infrastructure made its debut during his speech to the National Council. Since then Mr. Modi pressed upon the need for improving and creating infrastructure on a large scale throughout the country in many of his Campaign Speeches and Interviews. Whether it is the laying down of high speed railway networks, building more storage facilities for farmers, laying down trade corridors, improving port facilities, concentrating on the manufacturing sector in order to build a Brand India all of them were a recurrent theme during his speeches.
