Welcoming the announcement of the schedule for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls by the Election Commission of India, Shri Narendra Modi conveyed his best wishes to the EC for the conducting of polls and congratulated the people of India on the commencement of the biggest festival of democracy.

Welcoming the 10 crore new voters, Shri Modi urged them to vote and play an important role in strengthening the country’s democratic tradition. Shri Modi also appreciated the EC’s decision of declaring 9th March as the last chance for eligible voters to get registered.

Terming the 2014 polls as a historic opportunity to lay the foundation of a developed India, Shri Modi urged the electorate of India to ‘Vote for India’. He called upon the people to vote for the BJP-led NDA and pave the way for a prosperous India.
