On the evening of Saturday 25th March 2013 Shri Narendra Modi strongly condemned the attack on a Congress rally in Chhattisgarh. Describing the attack as a gruesome attack on our democracy, Shri Modi paid condolences to the deceased and prayed for a speedy recovery of those injured. He urged the nation to stand united and fight this menace of Naxalism that threatens our democracy.
Expressing his views on Twitter Shri Modi said, “Gruesome attack in Chhattisgarh is an attack on democracy. Time has come to adopt policy of Zero Tolerance towards Terrorism & Naxalism.”
He added, “Condolences to families of deceased & respects to policemen who laid down their lives. My prayers with the injured. May they recover quickly,” and said, “The need of the hour is to stand together as a nation and vow to fight this menace that threatens our democracy.”
