Shri Narendra Modi asks people to provide correct and complete details about social, economic and caste to Census for future planning

Gandhinagar, Monday: Launching the nationwide Census survey for social, economic and caste status in Gujarat, Chief Minister Narendra Modi informed the details to the Census staff at his residence here today.

The survey will be held in the state from January 16 to February 28, 2012.

In an appeal to the people, the Chief Minster said that data collected by the enumerators would help prepare future plans for the development of Gujarat and India.

Mr. Modi said that it is everybody’s duty and right to provide correct and complete information about the household. Whether one is male or female, old or poor, every individual should provide full details.

Those present on the occasion included Principal Secretaries Rita Teotia, I.P. Gautam and Gandhinagar District Collector P. Swaroop, among others.
