More than 100 business leaders including Non Resident Gujaratis (NRGs) and senior MPs of the British parliament attended the meet.

Modi attributed the success of Gujarat to the efforts of the people of the state.

"The Gujarat government is dedicated solely to the cause of development. The state is touching new heights due to clear policies, transparent administration and people's participation," said CM in the video conference.

He further said that not only are the industries growing at a fast pace in the state but even Gujarat's agriculture sector had grown at a rate of 9.6% during last decade.

Modi also invited the NRGs to take part in the programmes organised to mark the culmination of the year long Swarnim Gujarat celebrations on April 30 and May 1. He also said that the state government has organised a conference of NRGs in Gandhinagar on April 30.

CM also had a dialogue with five British parliamentarians-Sir Gulam Noon, Stephen Timms, Keith Vaz, Bob Blackman and Steve Pound.
