On the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today paid tribute to his unmatched courage and supreme sacrifice

Shri Modi stated that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom for the protection of faith and humanity will forever illuminate our society.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said:

“On the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, we bow in reverence to his unmatched courage and sacrifice. His martyrdom for the protection of faith and humanity will forever illuminate our society.”

“ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਜੀ ਦੇ 350ਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ 'ਤੇ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕਰੇਗੀ।"

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam invoking blessings for the well-being, auspiciousness, protection, peace, wisdom and prosperity of all. The Subhashitam seeks the blessings of Lord Indra, Lord Surya, Lord Garuda and Lord Brihaspati.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

“स्वस्ति न इन्द्रो वृद्धश्रवाः।

स्वस्ति नः पूषा विश्ववेदाः।

स्वस्ति नस्तार्क्ष्यो अरिष्टनेमिः।

स्वस्ति नो बृहस्पतिर्दधातु॥”

The Subhashitam conveys that May the glorious Lord Indra bless us with well-being. May Lord Surya, the knower of the entire universe and the sustainer of all, bring auspiciousness to us. May Lord Garuda, the destroyer of obstacles, protect us all. May Lord Brihaspati, the lord of knowledge, bless us with peace, wisdom and prosperity.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;
