“I join the nation in welcoming Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla as he returns to Earth from his historic mission to Space. As India’s first astronaut to have visited International Space Station, he has inspired a billion dreams through his dedication, courage and pioneering spirit. It marks another milestone towards our own Human Space Flight Mission - Gaganyaan.”

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam emphasising that knowledge can be gained only through devoted service to the Guru.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

"यथा खात्वा खनित्रेण भूतले वारि विन्दति।

तथा गुरुगतां विद्यां शुश्रूषुरधिगच्छति॥"

The Subhashitam conveys, that just as one must dig deep into the earth with hard work and patience to obtain water, in the same way, knowledge can be gained only through devoted service to the Guru, with faith, dedication, discipline, and sincerity.
