An instance narrated by Smt. Sadhana Bhandari, a Karyakarta from Gujarat displays PM Modi's unrelenting commitment to well-being of people. She reminisced the days when a session was being organised at an ashram in Gujarat, where Shri Modi had visited, while he was the Chief Minister of the state.
Smt. Bhandari said, "There's an ashram where we had a session of three days. I was the head mentor. Modi Ji had come on the second day of the session and asked how the preparations were going. I told him that everything was going well. Then he enquired about the upcoming events. So I told that after this session is over, I'll be travelling to Kutch."
She recalled, "There were 4-5 of us when Modi Ji asked why my eyes were yellowish. He said that it appeared that I wasn't keeping well."
What followed the next day even took Smt. Bhandari by surprise. Shri Modi had sent a doctor to see her. "When session began the next day, one Dr. Jyotindra approached and enquired about me. He introduced himself and I'm here to check your haemoglobin levels. I told that we haven't called anyone. But he said he'd been told to check my haemoglobin. Then I asked him about the cost. He told me that Narendrabhai had sent him to check my haemoglobin levels. In the evening I got to know that my haemoglobin level was merely 6.5-7 gm/dl."
"Modi Ji was naturally worried. The next day he made a call to my home and they took me back. He said first take rest, fix haemoglobin levels and then think about work," she added.
Compassion in action: How Modi’s unrelenting commitment to the well-being of those around him shines through in everything that he does!
