The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has paid tributes to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji on his birth anniversary, today. Shri Modi stated that he dedicated his entire life to good governance and nation-building. "He will always be remembered not only as an eloquent orator but also as a spirited poet. His personality, works, and leadership will continue to serve as a guiding path for the all-round development of the country", Shri Modi said.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to a bus accident in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir.

The Prime Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their near and dear ones and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The Prime Minister announced that an ex gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be given to the next of kin of each of those who lost their lives in the tragic mishap. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.

The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X;

“Pained to hear about the loss of lives due to a bus accident in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. I extend my heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their near and dear ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
