Prime Minister shares Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the importance of courage and perseverance
August 03, 2026

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, said that one should never lose courage even when fortune turns unfavourable, for patience and perseverance can help a person regain lost ground. He noted that just as a skilled sailor whose ship breaks apart in the middle of the ocean does not lose hope but continues striving to survive by swimming, determination and steadfast effort enable one to overcome adversity.

The Prime Minister shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam-

The Subhashitam conveys that one should not lose patience even when fortune is adverse, for through patience, one can always regain a lost favorable situation. Just as a skilled sailor, even when his ship breaks apart in the middle of the ocean, focuses solely on his actions, namely, the effort to survive and swim, without losing heart.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;
