The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has hailed the rising visibility of Indian universities on global stage. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to quality education and providing opportunities for growth and innovation.

Sharing a post on X by Chief Global Affairs Officer at Times Higher Education, Mr Phil Baty, the Prime Minister wrote:

“Great to see India's universities making strides on the global stage! Our commitment to quality education is yielding encouraging results. We will continue to support our educational institutions and provide opportunities for growth and innovation. This will help our youth greatly.”

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi expressed happiness on meeting Senator Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia.

The two leaders discussed the growing India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in areas such as defence, trade, technology and ensuring supply chain resilience.

They reaffirmed that India and Australia will continue to work together for a free, open, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific.
