The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated Argentina on becoming FIFA World Cup Champions. Shri Modi also congratulates France for a spirited performance at the FIFA World Cup.

The Prime Minister tweeted;

"This will be remembered as one of the most thrilling Football matches! Congrats to Argentina on becoming #FIFAWorldCup    Champions! They’ve played brilliantly through the tournament. Millions of Indian fans of Argentina and Messi rejoice in the magnificent victory! @alferdez"

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage to Parbati Giri Ji on her birth centenary today. Shri Modi commended her role in the movement to end colonial rule, her passion for community service and work in sectors like healthcare, women empowerment and culture.
