Prime Minister condoles the passing of popular singer, Suman Kalyanpur

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the demise of popular singer, Smt. Suman Kalyanpur.

The Prime Minister said he was anguished by the passing of Suman Kalyanpur Ji. He noted that her melodious voice and soulful renditions enriched India’s cultural world and that, through her songs, she created a special place among music lovers and admirers of Indian cinema.

In a post on X, Shri Modi said;

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam, seeking blessings of Lord Jagannath on the sacred occasion of Rath Yatra:

“देवदेव जगन्नाथ सुरासुरनमस्कृत।

पुण्यश्लोकाव्ययानन्त परमात्मन्नमोऽस्तु ते॥"

Shri Modi also expressed the hope that the divine grace of Lord Jagannath would infuse new energy into the lives of all countrymen.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

महाप्रभु जगन्नाथ की रथ यात्रा के पावन अवसर पर मेरी कामना है कि उनका आशीर्वाद हम सभी पर सदैव बना रहे। उनकी दिव्य कृपा से सभी देशवासियों के जीवन में नई ऊर्जा का संचार हो।
