PM condoles the loss of lives due to a bridge mishap in Darjeeling

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi condoled the the loss of lives due to a bridge mishap in Darjeeling today.

In a post on X, Shri Modi said:

“Deeply pained by the loss of lives due to a bridge mishap in Darjeeling. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.

The situation in Darjeeling and surrounding areas is being closely monitored in the wake of heavy rains and landslides. We are committed to providing all possible assistance to those affected.”

“দার্জিলিংয়ে সেতু দুর্ঘটনায় প্রাণহানির ঘটনায় গভীরভাবে মর্মাহত। যাঁরা তাঁদের প্রিয়জনদের হারিয়েছেন, তাঁদের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা। আহতরা দ্রুত সুস্থ হয়ে উঠুন—এই কামনা করি। প্রবল বৃষ্টিপাত ও ভূমিধসের প্রেক্ষিতে দার্জিলিং ও আশেপাশের এলাকার পরিস্থিতি নিবিড়ভাবে পর্যবেক্ষণ করা হচ্ছে। ক্ষতিগ্রস্তদের জন্য সমস্ত সম্ভাব্য সহায়তা প্রদান করতে আমরা প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ।“

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage to Parbati Giri Ji on her birth centenary today. Shri Modi commended her role in the movement to end colonial rule, her passion for community service and work in sectors like healthcare, women empowerment and culture.
