Prime Minister condoles the demise of Dr. Pierre-Sylvain Filliozat

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today condoled the demise of Dr. Pierre-Sylvain Filliozat and remarked that he will be remembered for his exemplary efforts to popularise Sanskrit studies, especially in the field of literature and grammar.

He wrote in a post on X:

“Dr. Pierre-Sylvain Filliozat will be remembered for his exemplary efforts to popularise Sanskrit studies, especially in the field of literature and grammar. He was deeply connected with India and Indian culture. Pained by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and friends in this hour of grief.”

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage to Parbati Giri Ji on her birth centenary today. Shri Modi commended her role in the movement to end colonial rule, her passion for community service and work in sectors like healthcare, women empowerment and culture.
