The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated the Mixed Doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale on winning Gold medal in Tennis Mixed Doubles event at Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou.

The Prime Minister posted on X:

“What a great game by Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale. They bring back a prestigious Gold for India in Tennis Mixed Doubles. They have demonstrated remarkable team spirit and coordination. Best wishes for their future endeavours.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam today, highlighting the eight essential qualities that brighten a person's life and build character.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

"अष्टौ गुणाः पुरुषं दीपयन्ति प्रज्ञा सुशीलत्वदमौ श्रुतं च।
पराक्रमश्च बहुभाषिता च दानं यथाशक्ति कृतज्ञता च।।"

These eight qualities brighten a person's life. Wisdom shows him the right path. Good conduct keeps his character pure, and self-control keeps him disciplined. Knowledge gives him understanding, courage helps him stand firm in difficult situations, and skillful speech earns him respect in society. Giving according to one's ability and being grateful for kindness make a person complete.
