Each and every vote will take us to record victory in the upcoming Assembly elections. It will give us new energy to work for development and growth: PM Modi in Ghazipur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed public meetings in Sonbhadra and Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi started his address by highlighting that India is in the process of evacuating its citizens trapped in Ukraine. PM Modi said, “Several thousand citizens have been brought back to the country under Operation Ganga. To give impetus to this mission, India has also sent four of its cabinet ministers there. The Air Force has also been deployed to evacuate the Indians in distress.”

PM Modi spoke on how Sonbhadra, which is rich in minerals, was looted by the past government for many years, leaving the people out of the development era. PM Modi further added, “Our government has included Sonbhadra in the aspirational district campaign. Be it electricity connection, toilets, gas connection, education and health, priority is being given to Sonbhadra and its surrounding areas for every such facility.” PM Modi also told people that the BJP government is working hard for the poor and will further strengthen the schemes that will provide them with a pucca house, tap water and health insurance.

Talking about the future of Sonbhadra district, PM Modi said, “We have made a policy that will utilise the wealth emerging from the Sonbhadra district towards the development of this district. For this, we have created the District Mineral Fund. Under this fund, Sonbhadra has received a huge amount for its development”. PM Modi further added that the ‘Shram Card’ is being issued to the daily wage labourers in the district to safeguard their livelihood.

PM Modi iterated the efforts of the BJP government to recognise the sacrifices of the Tribal people in India’s Independence and its subsequent development. PM Modi remarked, “We have declared the birth anniversary of Bhagwaan Birsa Munda as ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’. 10 tribal museums are also being built across the country.”

Speaking on the government’s support to tribal areas, PM Modi said, “Previous governments used to give MSP on only 8-10 forest products. Today, our government is giving MSP on 90 forest products.” PM Modi reiterated his support to farmers and said, “The farmers of these areas have also got a big benefit from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. More than 350 crore rupees have been deposited so far in the bank accounts of more than 2 lakh farmers.”

Stressing on the need for the Double Engine Sarkar, PM Modi said, “For such schemes to continue uninterrupted, it is very important to stop these mining mafias and these ‘Pariwarvadis’ with full force.”

Addressing his second rally in Ghazipur, PM Modi said, “The son of Ghazipur, Param Vir Chakra winner Shaheed Abdul Hameed had shown what the people of Ghazipur could do if there was a crisis in the country. I still remember when Abdul Hameed ji's wife Rasoolan Bibi ji came to Gujarat 7-8 years ago, she blessed me a lot. Ghazipur has also given a gem in the form of Manoj Sinha ji, who is handling the country's crown jewel, Jammu and Kashmir.”

“This land of Ghazipur is related to Mother Ganga, it is related to agriculture, it is related to saints. But these 'Parivarwadi' parties have changed the identity of this state for their selfish desires. Uttar Pradesh became famous for mafias and Bahubalis, under the governance of these parties. This election is giving you a chance to punish them,” he said.

PM Modi further added, “These dynasts were hellbent on destroying this town but we worked with the determination that the people of Ghazipur have to be served. The people roaming in open jeeps during the riots are on their knees today. The panic that was there during the earlier governments has now been replaced by the welfare of the poor. One of your major problems was connectivity. We are paying special attention to this. You will remember, the demand for Tadi Ghat bridge was going on for 6 decades. It is our own government that started its construction.”

During the rally in Ghazipur, PM Modi asserted, “We have given health insurance under Ayushman Bharat scheme to more than 2.25 lakh poor families of Ghazipur. Now they can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in the best hospital. We have also increased the number of medical colleges in Purvanchal for better health facilities to the people. The Maharishi Vishwamitra Medical College here is also of great help.”

“Each and every vote will take us to record victory in the upcoming Assembly elections. It will give us new energy to work for development and growth. Each vote will give a befitting reply to those 'Parivarwadi' parties,” he said.
