PM Modi arrives in Abuja, Nigeria

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Abuja, Nigeria. This is the Prime Minister's first visit to Nigeria. During the visit, PM Modi will hold talks with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He will also interact with the Indian community.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid homage to Parbati Giri Ji on her birth centenary today. Shri Modi commended her role in the movement to end colonial rule, her passion for community service and work in sectors like healthcare, women empowerment and culture.

In separate posts on X, the PM said:

“ପାର୍ବତୀ ଗିରି ଜୀଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଜନ୍ମ ଶତବାର୍ଷିକୀ ଅବସରରେ ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞ୍ଜଳି ଅର୍ପଣ କରୁଛି। ଔପନିବେଶିକ ଶାସନର ଅନ୍ତ ଘଟାଇବା ଲାଗି ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନରେ ସେ ପ୍ରଶଂସନୀୟ ଭୂମିକା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ଜନ ସେବା ପ୍ରତି ତାଙ୍କର ଆଗ୍ରହ ଏବଂ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟସେବା, ମହିଳା ସଶକ୍ତିକରଣ ଓ ସଂସ୍କୃତି କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ତାଙ୍କର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖନୀୟ ଥିଲା। ଗତ ମାସର #MannKiBaat କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୁଁ ଏହା କହିଥିଲି ।”
