Addressing a public meeting in Gujarat’s Jamkandorana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Rajkot has become education hub. Today, other state's children want admission in Gujarat's educational institutions. 20 years back there were only 26 engineering colleges in Gujarat, but today we have 130 colleges. Earlier only those used to get admission in medical who knew English, now we have allowed medical and engineering study in Gujarati which will give opportunity to village students.”

Talking to the massive gathering, he said, “I read in newspaper that I am the first PM that visited Jamkandorana but I have to frequently do the work which nobody did earlier.” Hitting at the opposition, he said, “Ask opposition leaders if they have visited Statue of Unity; those who don't respect son of soil Sardar Patel should not have any place in Gujarat.”
