Prime Minister meets Prime Minister of Qatar

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, in his first engagement today at Doha, Qatar.

The two leaders exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation in sectors such as trade, investment, energy, finance, and technology. They also discussed recent regional developments in West Asia and emphasized the importance of upholding peace and stability in the region and beyond.

Thereafter, Prime Minister attended a dinner hosted in his honour by the Prime Minister of Qatar.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi condoled the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of the Kingdom of Norway. Recalling his meeting with His Majesty during his visit to Norway earlier this year, Shri Modi remembered his warmth and profound sense of service to the people and nation of Norway.

The Prime Minister posted on X;

“Deeply saddened by the passing of His Majesty King Harald V of the Kingdom of Norway.

I fondly recall meeting His Majesty during my visit to Norway earlier this year and was deeply touched by his warmth and profound sense of service to his nation.

My heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family and the people of Norway.
