The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed sadness and strongly condemned the attack in Kokrajhar, Assam.

“Saddened by the attack in Kokrajhar. We strongly condemn it. Thoughts and prayers with the bereaved families and those injured.

The Home Ministry is in touch with the Assam Government and is monitoring the situation closely”, the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives due to fire tragedy in Solapur, Maharashtra. Shri Modi also wished speedy recovery for those injured in the accident.

The Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia from PMNRF of Rs. 2 lakh to the next of kin of each deceased and Rs. 50,000 for those injured.

The Prime Minister’s Office posted on X;

"Pained by the loss of lives due to a fire tragedy in Solapur, Maharashtra. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.

An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM" @narendramodi

"महाराष्ट्रात सोलापूर इथे आग लागून झालेल्या दुर्घटनेतील जीवितहानीमुळे तीव्र दु:ख झाले. आपले प्रियजन गमावलेल्या कुटुंबांप्रति माझ्या सहवेदना. जखमी झालेले लवकर बरे होवोत ही प्रार्थना. पंतप्रधान राष्ट्रीय मदत निधीमधून (PMNRF) प्रत्येक मृतांच्या वारसाला 2 लाख रुपयांची मदत दिली जाईल. जखमींना 50,000 रुपये दिले जातील : पंतप्रधान" @narendramodi
