The Bharatiya Janata Party today released its ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “One mission, one direction, is our mantra. We will move forward with this mantra to empower our people, strengthen the spirit of Jan Bhagidari and democratic values.”

Shri Modi highlighted that the ‘Sankalp Patra’ revolved around three key points – Rashtravaad (Nationalism), Antyodaya (Empowerment of poor) and Sushaasan (Good governance). PM Modi further said that the BJP wanted the country to move forward in every sector and hence the Sankalp Patra focussed on a multi-dimensional approach towards growth in every sector.

PM Modi stated that the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ laid the strong foundation of an India when the country marks 100 years of independence in 2047. PM Modi said, “In 2047, India completes 100 years of independence. The foundation that we lay from 2019 to 2024, will pave way for an India which will stronger and developed.”

Furthermore, PM Modi stated that to ensure all-round progress of the nation, it was vital to make development a mass movement. Quoting the example of cleanliness, he said, “Swachhata has become a mass movement today. Media, youth and people across the country have furthered the cause. It is not about any government but people’s participation which made it a success.”

PM Modi said that in the last five years, the government had carried out numerous reforms by focussing on good, easy, transparent, accountable and responsible governance.

“Our Sankalp Patra presents our vision of good governance, it highlights our focus on national security and nation’s prosperity”, Shri Modi added.

PM Conveys Eid Greetings and Condemns Attacks on Energy and Civilian Infrastructure

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held a fruitful discussion today with His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, to exchange festive greetings and address regional security concerns.

The Prime Minister spoke with His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa and conveyed warm greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr to him and the people of Bahrain. During the conversation, both leaders discussed the current situation in the West Asian region. PM Modi condemned attacks on the energy and civilian infrastructure, underscoring their adverse impact on global food, fuel, and fertilizer security. Shri Modi reiterated the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation and keeping shipping lines open and secure. The Prime Minister further expressed his gratitude to His Majesty for his continued support for the well-being of the Indian community in Bahrain.
