PM congratulates Sathish Kumar Sivalingam on winning the Gold Medal in the Men's 77 kg weightlifting event

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated weightlifter Sathish Kumar Sivalingam on winning the Gold Medal at Commonwealth Games.

"India’s weightlifters are also lifting our position in the medal’s tally. Well done Sathish Kumar Sivalingam for clinching a Gold in the 77 kg weight category. He has entered the history books by winning consecutive Golds in 2 CWGs, Glasgow 2014 and Gold Coast 2018", the Prime Minister said.

Aide to the Russian President calls on PM Modi

PM conveys that he looks forward to hosting President Putin in India next month.

Aide to the President and Chairman of the Maritime Board of the Russian Federation, H.E. Mr. Nikolai Patrushev, called on Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today.

They exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the maritime domain, including new opportunities for collaboration in connectivity, skill development, shipbuilding and blue economy.

Prime Minister conveyed his warm greetings to President Putin and said that he looked forward to hosting him in India next month.
