Pariksha Pe Charcha: PM Modi gives formula to sharpen students’ memory

Published By : Admin | April 8, 2021 | 08:44 IST

During Pariksha Pe Charcha, PM Narendra Modi shared a mantra for sharpening one’s memory. PM Modi advised students to ‘internalise’ and not ‘memorize’ what they study.

PM Modi, while answering the question of Divyanka, a student from Pushkar in Rajasthan, said, “Don’t think that your memory is weak. One remembers a lot of things… things that you like, things that you do not have to try to remember because those have become a part of your life such as your mother tongue. It’s not about memory but internalisation.”

PM Modi said, “Involve, internalise, associate and visualize…follow this mantra to sharpen your memory.”

Citing example of the National Anthem, PM Modi said, “Everyone recites the National Anthem during the morning assembly in schools. But, do you ever travel across the country while reciting the National Anthem? Do you visualize travelling to Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bengal while singing the National Anthem? If you do like this, you will start remembering things completely.”
