“When I look at the poor people, they must be thinking what kind of the Prime Minister is this who has put us through this hardship. I especially apologise to them. Some of you may be unhappy with the lockdown. But in order to combat Coronavirus, this was the only option. It is a battle for life and death, which we have to win. That is why such strong measures had to be resorted to”, remarked PM Modi.

Stating Coronavirus has incarcerated the world, PM Modi said, “It is posing a challenge to knowledge, science, the rich and the poor, the strong and the weak alike. Neither it is confined to any nation’s borders, nor does it make distinction of region or season.”

The Prime Minister also cautioned those violating the lockdown. He said, “Some people are violating the lockdown since they are not trying to understand the gravity of the matter.” He appealed to them, to comply with the lockdown rule, or else it will be difficult to save ourselves from the scourge of the Coronavirus.
