Veteran NASA Astronaut calls on Shri Narendra Modi

Veteran NASA Astronaut, Captain Jon McBride met Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi at his residence in Gandhinagar. Captain McBride has had a distinguished career with NASA and was on a visit to Gujarat, where he visited Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad, Patan, Baroda and Anand.

Captain McBride also presented Shri Modi with a personal memento, wishing him the very best for development in the state.

Present during the interaction was Additional Chief Secretary (Science and Technology) Shri Ravi Saxena.

In an interview with Punjab Kesari, Jag Bani, Hind Samachar, and Navodaya Times, Prime Minister Modi discussed the Lok Sabha elections and the country's development. On the issue of farmers, he stated that farmers are our 'Annadatas.' He said that his government has undertaken work in the agricultural sector that no previous government had done. Regarding the opposition, he remarked that the INDI alliance lacks any plan or vision for the country's development and is therefore engaged in nonsensical rhetoric.
