Towards a Swachh Bharat

“A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary in 2019,” said PM Narendra Modi as he launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on October 2nd, 2014. 

Prime Minister Modi has time and again urged people across the country to be the active participants of the initiative. In his latest edition of Mann Ki Baat on September 25, 2016, PM Modi urged people to participate in the cleanliness drive and share pictures and videos on ‘Narendra Modi Mobile App’.

Prime Minister commends release of the Constitution of India in Santhali language

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has commended release of the Constitution of India in Santhali language by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. Shri Modi stated that will help to deepen constitutional awareness and democratic participation. "India is very proud of the Santhali culture and the contribution of Santhali people to national progress", Shri Modi said.

The Prime Minister posted on X:
