A one-of-its kind initiative for the tribal segment was recently conducted at Vijaynagar taluka in Sabarkantha.

The Tour De Polo Green race, conducted on 12th January, witnessed enthusiastic participation from scores of cyclists. Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja, Minister for Law and Justice and Parliamentary affairs, graced the occasion, which witnessed participation from cyclists from across the country.

With a view to invite participants from across the country, the Gujarat government had also launched a website www.tourdepolo.in. A help centre to facilitate the travel arrangements for the participants was also set up at the Ahmedabad Railway station.

The cycle race had 3 categories, for professionals, men and women, and the category for professionals was won by Meerut-based Sachin Panwar. More than 10,000 people gathered across the cycling stretch to show their support to the participants.

Shri Jadeja also said that, henceforth, the rally would be organized every year on 26th January.
