Ahmedabad, Aug 15 (IANS) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech Friday announced the setting up a forensic science university and strengthening the police force to fight terrorism.

He said that the Gujarat police would be trained in sophisticated techniques to deal with terror strikes and solve the most complex of criminal cases. A forensic science university too would be established in the state.

Unfurling the tricolour at the state level celebrations of the 62nd Independence Day at Palanpur, 145 km from here, Modi said:  Gujarat has taken up the challenge to awaken the society against terrorism and is committed to establish Suraksha University' and Forensic Science University in the State'.

He cautioned pseudo-secularists' against  demoralizing security forces in their fight against terror'.

Playing politics could result in a grave crisis for this nation,' Modi warned.
