World’s biggest desalination plant will be set up at Dahej
Inaugurating the Jubilant SEZ, a private pharmaceutical facility, at Bharuch today Chief Minister Narendra Modi said that now Gujarat’s development has not remained limited to Ankleshwar-Vapi golden corridor but has spread all over the State.The SEZ has been set up at the cost Rs.170 crore at Vilayat Industrial Estate in Bharuch district and is managed by the Bhartia group.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister said that after the devastating earthquake and the cooperative bank scams, the State was subjected to a storm of defamation. But even in the midst of such negative atmosphere the State government came up with Vibrant Gujarat Mission in 2003. With its strong political willpower the State has toped in attracting highest investment in industrial sector.
The Chief Minister also announced that the world’s biggest desalination plant is going to be set up at Dahej.
The Information Technology (IT), Bio Technology (BT) and the Environment Technology (ET) will be the three pillars of the State’s development in coming days. The State will focus on balanced development of industries, agriculture and service sectors, he said.
Mr. Shyam Bhartia greeted the Chief Minister and gave outlines of the objectives of the Jubilant SEZ.
Minister of State Praful Patel, MP Mansukh Vasava, Bharatsinh Parmar, Hari S. Bhartia, Shyam S. Bhartia, MLAs and the industry leaders were present on the occasion.
