On the afternoon of 21st May, 2014, Shri Narendra Modi resigned from the post of the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Shri Modi submitted his resignation to the Governor of Gujarat Smt. Kamla Beniwal, at Raj Bhawan.
Later he also resigned as Maninagar MLA. He handed over his resignation to Gujarat Vidhan Sabha speaker Shri Vajubhai Vala.
