A scathing attack on the Congress’ ineptitude and a warning to the people to understand the deceiving politics of SABKA was given by Shri Narendra Modi during his campaign rallies at Bhadohi and Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, on 4th May. Reinforcing his humble beginnings, Shri Modi stated of his focus for the overall development of every section of the society, and assured the people of their progress and the development of the Nation under the BJP.

In retaliation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s statement of Shri Modi assuming himself as the PM of India, Shri Modi said that he could sympathize with the mindset of the Congress Party, which was not only shocked at a ‘chaiwalla’ contesting the Elections, as against their rich dynasty, but was also fearful of their fate after the declaration of results on 16th May. Shri Modi stated how such statements mocked his humble beginnings, even as he hailed the Constitution of India which had enabled the son of a teaseller to contest for the post of the Prime Minister.

Shri Modi also hit back at the Congress President’s attack on Shri Modi for his comment ‘Yeh Dil Maange More’, and said that he definitely wanted more, but not for his own sake, and rather for the sake of his fellowmen and the Nation. He said that he was not shy of wanting for more, since he was not looting the Nation, but only wanting its development.

The Congress’ arrogance was exposed by Shri Modi when he spoke of how the Central government had refused the orders from the Supreme Court to distribute foodgrains to the poor, and had instead given it away to liquor manufacturers. He also spoke of how the Congress looked down upon the poor and considered poverty as a tourism pursuit.

The Central government’s lack of foresightedness and unsuitable policies were highlighted by Shri Modi who spoke of how iron ore was being exported and steel imported. Manufacturing of steel with the Nation’s iron ore reserves could raise many job opportunities for the youth, but the Central government lacked such a far-sighted approach, said Shri Modi. He also spoke of how power plants lay shut in the country, even as the people were reeling under severe power crisis. He criticized the Central government’s excuse of lack of coal reserves and stated that their losing of files related to coal mining had, in fact, ruined the lives of the people.

Shri Modi stated how the SABKA - SP, BSP and Congress – were only focused at defaming Modi and stopping him from becoming the PM, rather than focusing on the development of the Nation. He spoke of how the Mother-Son duo in Delhi and the Father-Son duo and ‘Behenji’ in UP were only left with defaming Shri Modi.

Expressing deep concern over the criminalization of politics, Shri Modi emphasized his focus on ‘clean politics’ and affirmed of taking necessary action against the tainted ministers after the BJP comes to power. He also stressed on the significance of industrialization and infrastructure development, and underscored its relevance in ensuring employment for the youth.

In Allahabad, Shri Modi spoke of the magnificence and popularity of the Allahabad University, and assured that under the BJP government, this would escalate even further, making it globally renowned.

Shri Modi also appealed to the Election Commission of India to ensure that the next two phases of polling must be free of any rigging or any other form of manipulation. "Democracy doesn't work like this. I know that in the elections on May 30 how much rigging took place. The Election Commission's work is to protect people. It is your responsibility to ensure impartial polls. I request you to fulfill your responsibilities in the right way," said Shri Modi.

Shri Modi stated that the Elections were about the chemistry of 125 crore Indians, and affirmed that the results will prove all calculations of the political pundits wrong. He appealed to the people to support the BJP and enable the formation of strong, stable and development-oriented government at the Centre.
