The Vibrant Gujarat 2011 Summit which is just round the corner provides delegates a fascinating opportunity to understand the state through digital technology. Below are some examples of the facilities available at the Mahatma Mandir, the venue for the Vibrant Gujarat Summit:

1. Infotainment Zone

The Infotainment zone is a 6000 sqft digital and interactive media space that providing multi-faceted information about Gujarat and its people as you have never done before. From a 40 ft seamless video wall to multiple interactive systems that take you into the past with real-time renderings of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel’s speeches. Experience 3-D walks through Gujarat’s future cities and experience the rich culture of Gujarat through a state-of-the-art technology platform. User technologies such as motion sensor, surface touch and voice activation interact with graphics and visual mediums. It’s an opportunity for people of all age groups to see first-hand the latest technologies of the world here in Gujarat.

It’s a must see for the youth of Gujarat with 8 interactive screens, user interfaces with motion-sensor technology and touch interfaces. There is also an interactive quiz with real time responses that creates a knowledge quotient in a fun way. It’s a one stop point for information on advancements in business, industry and rural development.

2. Gujarat Manufacturing Technology Show 2011

The GMTS-2011 from January 10 to January 14 at the Mahatma Mandir will showcase some of the best manufacturing technology from across the globe.

Catering to approximately 40 manufacturing technology categories, this state-of-the-art manufacturing technology show will have participation from 45-plus countries and at least 1,000 foreign delegates. More than 200 companies from countries like the USA, the UK, Japan, Germany, Canada and Switzerland will participate to showcase their products, innovations and emerging business avenues.

3. Vibrant Gujarat Mobile Application for Blackberry and Android phones

The Government of Gujarat has left no stone unturned to provide the best of applications for the visiting delegates at the Vibrant Gujarat 2011 Summit. The Vibrant Gujarat mobile app for BlackBerry© as well Android-OS based and other web-enabled phones offers all the information regarding the Summit: Events list, time, date, venue, map, etc. More importantly, the app is free and can be downloaded from www.vibrantgujarat.com. They make the Summit a truly paperless and digital experience.

PM participates in Kullu Dussehra

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi participated in the Kullu Dussehra celebrations at the Dhalpur Ground of Kullu, Himachal Pradesh today.

The Prime Minister was welcomed and facilitated upon his arrival. This was followed by the arrival of Bhagwan Raghunath Ji and it marked the commencement of the Rath Yatra. A huge crowd had gathered at the occasion to welcome the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister walked to the main attraction with lakhs of other devotees and paid his tributes to Bhagwan Raghunath. The Prime Minister greeted everyone present on the occasion with folded hands and witnessed the divine Rath Yatra along with the grand assembly of the deities in the historic Kullu Dussehra celebrations. A historic occasion, this was the first time ever that the Prime Minister of India had participated in the Kullu Dussehra celebrations.

The International Kullu Dussehra Festival is to be celebrated from 5th to 11th October 2022 at Dhalpur Ground of Kullu. The festival is unique in the sense that it is the congregation of more than 300 Deities of the Valley. On the first day of the Festival, the Deities in their well-decorated palanquins pay their obeisance at the temple of the Chief Deity Bhagwan Raghunath Ji and then proceed to the Dhalpur Ground.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Shri Anurag Thakur, and BJP State President, Shri Suresh Kumar Kashyap among others.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister had dedicated to the nation, AIIMS, Bilaspur. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple projects in Himachal Pradesh in Luhnu, Bilaspur.
