As a follow-up to Prime Minister's exhortation to Secretaries to come up with ideas for transformative change in various areas of governance, two Groups of Secretaries presented their ideas and suggestions on (a) Innovative Budgeting and Effective Implementation (b) Swachh Bharat and Ganga Rejuvenation, to the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. 

Union Ministers Shri Rajnath Singh, Shri Arun Jaitley, Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Shri Nitin Gadkari, and Shri Manohar Parrikar, besides all Secretaries to the Government of India were present. During and after the presentation, several members of the audience, including the Prime Minister and Union Ministers asked questions related to the theme of the presentation, and gave their suggestions. 

Earlier, on the 12th January, the first group, on Energy Conservation and Efficiency, had made its presentation.

Prime Minister of Croatia meets Prime Minister Modi

Prime Minister of Croatia, HE Mr. Andrej Plenković met the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today in New Delhi.

Both leaders discussed how to add momentum to our bilateral partnership in areas such as technology, innovation, shipbuilding, blue economy and boosting connectivity through the IMEEC corridor.

In separate posts on X, Shri Modi said:

“Held fruitful discussions with the Prime Minister of Croatia, Mr. Andrej Plenković. We discussed how to add momentum to our bilateral partnership in areas such as technology, innovation, shipbuilding, blue economy and boosting connectivity through the IMEEC corridor. Also expressed gratitude for his personal support to the India-EU FTA, which will bring unprecedented progress for people in India as well as Europe.

“Održao sam produktivan razgovor s predsjednikom Vlade Republike Hrvatske, g. Andrejem Plenkovićem. Razmotrili smo mogućnosti dodatnog osnaživanja našeg bilateralnog partnerstva, s posebnim naglaskom na produbljivanje suradnje u područjima tehnologije, inovacija, brodogradnje te razvoja plavog gospodarstva, kao i na unapređenje povezanosti kroz koridor IMEEC.
