The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will visit Karnataka on January 2nd and 3rd, 2016. He will arrive in Mysuru on the afternoon of 2nd January. He will visit the Avadhoota Datta Peetham. He will also attend the Centenary Celebrations of Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji of Sri Suttur Math.

On the 3rd January, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the 103rd session of Indian Science Congress at the University of Mysore. He will lay the foundation stone for a new helicopter manufacturing unit at Tumkur. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the 21st International Conference on Frontiers in Yoga Research and its Applications, at Jigni on Sunday.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has paid tributes to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru on the occasion of the Shaheed Diwas today.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;

"India will always remember the sacrifice of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. These are greats who made an unparalleled contribution to our freedom struggle."
