A group of CEOs including Shri Anshu Jain of Deutsche Bank AG, Dr. Dieter Zetsche of Daimler AG, Dr. Kurt Bock of BASF, Dr. Heinrich Biersinger of Thyssen Krupp, Mr. Yngve Slyngstad of Norgos, and Dr. Feffrey Jaensubhakiji of GIC AM; called on the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today.    innr_glblceos_02022015

PM greets public representatives across the country on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, shared a Sanskrit Subhashitam highlighting the the essence of people’s representative:

“प्रजासुखे सुखं राज्ञः प्रजानां च हिते हितम्।

नात्मप्रियं प्रियं राज्ञः प्रजानां तु प्रियं प्रियम्॥"

The Subhashitam conveys, "The happiness of the people’s representative lies in the happiness of the people; his welfare lies in the welfare of the people. People’s representative has no personal favourites. Whatever is dear to the people is what is dear to him."

Shri Modi also greeted public representatives across the country on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day,today. "Your dedication to public service and service to the nation is truly inspiring for everyone" Shri Modi remarked.

The Prime Minister wrote on X;

“पंचायती राज दिवस के अवसर पर देशभर के जनप्रतिनिधियों का हार्दिक अभिनंदन! जनसेवा के साथ राष्ट्रसेवा के प्रति आप सभी का समर्पण हर किसी को प्रेरित करने वाला है।
