Prime Minister congratulates citizens for record gas production

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated citizens for a new record towards self reliance in the field of gas production. Shri Modi said that self-reliance in the field of energy is very important in achieving the resolve of a developed India.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri in a X post informed that the country has achieved a new record in the field of gas production. The gas production in 2020-21 was 28.7 BCM. In 2023-24, it has been increased to 36.43 BCM. The data shared by Union Minister projected that the gas production in 2026 will be 45.3 BCM.

Responding to the X post of Union Minister, the Prime Minister said;

“देशवासियों को इस उपलब्धि के लिए बहुत-बहुत बधाई!

विकसित भारत के संकल्प की सिद्धि में ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में हमारी आत्मनिर्भरता बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। गैस उत्पादन का यह रिकॉर्ड इस दिशा में हमारी प्रतिबद्धता का प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण है।”

PM Modi hails the commencement of 20th Session of UNESCO’s Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage in India

The Prime Minister has expressed immense joy on the commencement of the 20th Session of the Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO in India. He said that the forum has brought together delegates from over 150 nations with a shared vision to protect and popularise living traditions across the world.

The Prime Minister stated that India is glad to host this important gathering, especially at the historic Red Fort. He added that the occasion reflects India’s commitment to harnessing the power of culture to connect societies and generations.
